He was later diagnosed with schizophrenia and Natalia chose to forgive him for the violence he committed. She later donated a kidney in honor of her mother, who taught her children the importance of organ donation. Natalia saved the life of a complete stranger and was given a Pride of Britain award for her heroic act. Her story begins with a terrible loss and ends with forgiveness and unconditional love.
